Some sessions just take my breath away and this is one of those sessions. I edit THOUSANDS of images each week, but it’s shoots like these that make me eager to get to my computer. Derek and Brenna are some of my closest friends. They have been such a blessing in my life and I’m so thankful that they found one another. They are filled with joy, compassion, and silliness. Their love is contagious and so much fun to capture. I was literally yelling and/or dancing after every picture because I was so excited about the images we were capturing.

Derek is in the fire academy and he is just months away from becoming a full time firefighter. I have known Derek since I was in 5th grade and he is truly one of my best friends! We went to the same high school, we attended the same Bible study, and we have been able to celebrate so many of our life moments together. He makes me laugh until I cry and I’m so proud of the man that he has become. I met Brenna a few years ago through a friend. I loved her easy going personality and I told my sister that she should ask her to be her roommate. My sister and Brenna became roommates and soon the closest of friends. Brenna is an AMAZING hair stylist (blushandadore.com) and I have the privilege of working multiple weddings with her each year. Brenna and I also attended the same Bible study, we’ve been on road trips, and we love to cozy up together on girl nights. She is instantly loved by anyone she meets and I love that she has a heart to serve others.

Derek and Brenna met because he lived only a few minutes from my sister’s condo. I remember when Derek would tell my sister and I how beautiful he thought Brenna was. He was so excited to come over and find any excuse to spend time with her. They both have a dog and Derek found the perfect way to spend alone time with Brenna by inviting her to dog parks. I have enjoyed watching their spark grow into an inspiring love! Their relationship consists of having fun, being adventurous, exploring the outdoors, and of course… playing with their dogs. They are the couple everyone can’t wait to celebrate and I’m so excited for their wedding next Spring. Congrats Derek and Brenna!
