I am so excited to show you all my favorites from Alec and Kayla’s engagement session. Kayla and I met a few months ago at her bridal consultation. Afterwards, I was crossing my fingers that I would be the photographer on her wedding day because I loved her personality so much. Throughout our entire meeting she was so giddy talking about her big day and about her fiancé, Alec. She told me all about their proposal and it is truly the cutest. These two met at the country music festival, Stagecoach a few years ago. Last year, they came back to dance and sing to their favorite country artists. Alec is a musician himself and he wrote Kayla a personalized song that asked her to marry him. He played it at Stagecoach and it was recorded by their closest friends. It was incredibly sweet and filled with happy tears!

I was so excited when they called to book me as their official photographer. We quickly set up an engagement session and we all had so much fun at Old Poway Park. Alec brought an assortment of instruments and serenaded us throughout the entire session. Alec and I instantly formed a friendship when we learned that the other is obsessed with John Mayer. Our friendship really solidified when he started playing us John Mayer songs. These two are so in love and it was such a joy to capture. I didn’t want the session to end because I loved being around Alec and Kayla, but I’m already counting down the days until their wedding. Congrats Alec and Kayla!
