I am so excited to share Brandon and Allison’s wedding day!! Alli is a special bride to me because not only is she a close friend of mine, she was the first person to ever pay me for a photo shoot. 10 years ago, she recognized my passion for photography and she offered me cash to photograph her family. I was so shocked that someone would think to pay me and was incredibly nervous. We met at the park and my nerves quickly subsided because they were all so encouraging, fun and supportive! After that session, Alli shared the images with her family/friends and soon another person contacted me asking if they could pay me to photograph their family. My first session with Alli’s family instilled a new sense of confidence and helped me realize that this was a passion that I wanted to continue pursuing. I put my work out on MySpace (the hit social media site at the time) and gradually the inquiries began to increase. I’m forever grateful for that kick of encouragement they gave me so many years ago.
Alli and I have kept in touch since 5th grade, but we really connected after college when we came together each week for Bible study. We always comment on how impactful that time was in our lives and how God really used that stage to create lifelong relationships. When Alli walked through our doors every Wednesday, she was the definition of joy and always lit up the room with her contagious laugh and free spirit. I always loved her eagerness to learn, that she was outspoken, and how she had the most caring heart. I always wondered who would be the man to catch her eye because the standards were set extremely high by everyone who knew and loved her. Time passed and then we started hearing about a guy named Brandon. When he was introduced to to Alli’s inner circles, the admiration and affection she shared towards him was instant and obvious. It took no time for Brandon to mesh effortlessly with Alli’s people. He is the guy that becomes everyones best friend after the first hangout. You feel like you’ve known him for years because he’s so attentive and conversational. I love that Brandon is kind, smart, intentional and loves the Lord, but what I value most about him is how genuinely he loves Alli! When he looks at her, you can see that he instantly turns into the emoji with heart eyes! These two compliment one another so well and the friendship they share together is inspiring to watch. It’s fun, silly, faith centered, adventurous, and full of encouragement. Their wedding day was SO much fun and I’m already encouraging a vow renewal so we can relive this joyful day. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for Brandon and Allison and I feel very blessed to be their friend and have the opportunity to see what comes next. My favorites are posted below… Enjoy!
