Mentor Session: Chelsea | Analisa Joy Photography | San Diego, CA Photographer

A few months ago, I had a mentor session at the beach and we used my beautiful assistant Chelsea as our model. I know, I’m behind on my personal posts, but hopefully these shots will make up for it. We studied harsh lighting, posing, and how to capture portraits along the water on a cloudless day. I love these types of sessions because they are always so much fun and unique. We brought along some glitter and flash tattoos which created some of my all time favorite photos. Throughout the session, we made Chelsea roll in the sand, sit in the bushes, and lay in the freezing ocean. She was such a trooper and although she was shivering from head to toe, she would continue to submerge completely underwater to get the look that we were going for. It’s almost not fair how pretty Chelsea is, but let me tell you, her beauty is as equivalent (actually more so) on the inside as the outer. It’s been a crazy couple of months, but I’m excited that I was finally able to find time to work on these photos and post my favorites! Enjoy!
