This was one of the best cake smash sessions that I have ever had. Katie contacted me that she was going to bring their entire family together to celebrate their youngest daughter’s first birthday. We met at the park where they arrived with baskets full of props and goodies. This sweet family of eight was well prepared for their photo session. I loved how the kids were all close in age and how well they get along. They call themselves the Brady Bunch and together they all mix in so well. They were always laughing and having fun, but what I love most about them was their attitude toward the smash cake. Katie bought her daughter the cutest cake and we ran into a few complications with the kids trying to carry it and seagulls. However, she didn’t let a few knicks ruin the mood. In fact, she later embraced it. The entire family grabbed handfuls after and had a giant food fight. That was the first! It was a pink frosting massacre, but I loved the pure joy that was spread across everyone’s faces. We all had so much fun and I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to spend time with this family.
