Meet Kevin and Tayler! I met them a few months ago and after our consultation I remember coming home and telling my husband that I realllllly hope that they book me for their wedding. I just loved our conversation and how well we synced. It was instant friendship! When I received the email that they wanted me to be their wedding photographer, I’m not going to lie, I did a little dance in my office. Kevin and Tayler recently bought a puppy together so we made sure to incorporate her into our shoot. Tayler’s sister tagged along to be on puppy patrol and she was the best helper. Their new golden is named Bailey and she has the best Instagram name, @thebaileynews. The fact that they made their dog an Instagram makes me love them even more. My favorite story from their session was when Tayler told me about her location scouting. We share a love for the show, “One Tree Hill” and prior to their shoot they drove out to Julian to explore. Tayler went to buy a piece of pie at Mom’s and while waiting in line she was making small talk to this girl in front of her. She noticed that this girl was really beautiful and when her boyfriend joined them in line, Tayler thought that he looked familiar but she couldn’t figure out how she knew him. The small talk continued and toward the end they exchanged names. The boyfriend told Tayler that his name was Chad and that is when it hit her. She looked at him and responded slowly and dramatically… CHAD. MICHAEL. MURRAY? Once confirmed, they started laughing and when he left the shop, he complimented their pup on their way out. Being a fan of the show and my friendship with Tayler, I feel like I was there in spirit and now I can say I encountered Chad in Julian ;). I know it doesn’t work like that, but I’m going to make it work somehow. Despite the fact that this was by far the coldest and windiest photo session that I have ever experienced, I couldn’t ask for a sweeter couple to endure the bone chilling day with. It would’ve been easy to complain and quit halfway through, but they kept encouraging the other and embracing the winds together. I am so excited for their fall wedding next year. I’ll be counting down the days. Congrats Kevin and Tayler!
